Operations

Dispatch: Average time out is 2 weeks, home weekends may be possible!
Average Trip: 1000 miles
Average load: 25,000 to 48,000 lbs

Medical Insurance
Full time employees and drivers may enroll in either a single or a family medical insurance plan. Long Haul Trucking pays a portion of the single coverage up to as much as the entire single premium depending upon the plan selected and the plans available upon each plan renewal year. This benefit goes into effect 60 days after the end of your first month. Family coverage is also available. The employee is responsible for paying the family coverage through pre-taxed payroll deduction.

Dental
Full time drivers may enroll in either a single or a family dental insurance plan. The employee is responsible for paying the pre-taxed dental premium through payroll deduction.

Life Insurance
Long Haul Trucking supplies life insurance coverage to each full time employee. Long Haul also gives the option to purchase additional coverage.

Disability Insurance
Long Haul Trucking supplies long-term disability insurance coverage to each full time employee. Long Haul also gives the option to purchase additional coverage’s.

COMPANY MILEAGE PAY INFORMATION

  • Driver to be paid on 48 cents a mile on loaded/empty PC practical miles.
  • Willing to run 48 States
  • Controlled and managed dispatch
  • Paperwork needs to be turned in by Noon (CT) on Friday, to be paid the following Friday.
  • Stop Pay – Driver will be paid $40 per stop, in addition to mileage.
  • Detention – Driver will be paid $25/hr for detention (after two hours) and will be paid right away.
  • Time is based on proper Peoplenet use (arriving and departing actual time.) Does not include first come, first serve loading and loads without set appointment times.
  • Truck ordered not used – this will be paid once Long Haul is paid. Driver will receive half of the amount billed.
  • LTL – Driver will be paid $100 per partial, in addition to mileage.

401K Retirement Plan
Employees are eligible to participate in the plan if at least age 21 and have completed one year of service with the company. Employees may contribute from 1% to 25% of pay up to the limit set by the IRS. Long Haul Trucking will match 50% of the first 6% of pay each employee contributes to the plan through salary deferral.

Health and Dependent care reimbursement  plans (SEC. 125 Cafeteria Plan)
This benefit lets employees who wish to participate, set aside a certain dollar amount of their pre-tax earnings for reimbursement of health care and dependent care costs.

Vacation Pay
Full-time employees and full-time drivers are eligible for paid vacation time. Vacation is calculated based on anniversary of hire date.
1 year of employment – 1 week paid vacation.
3 years of employment – 2 weeks paid vacation.
5 years of employment – 3 weeks paid vacation.

Quarterly Bonus:
If the Quarterly average is greater than 10,500 miles/month, a bonus will be paid on the miles for the quarter.

  • Average of 10,500/month = additional .01 cent/mile
  • Average of 11,000/month = additional .02 cents/mile
  • Average of 11,500/month = additional .03 cents/mile
  • Average of 12,000+/month = additional .04 cents/mile

Safety/Fuel Mileage bonus of $500 will also be awarded if criteria is met.

  • No accidents/violations, 6.5+ mpg, clean truck inspection

Safety

Safety is our top concern and we work closely with our legal staff and insurance company to ensure that we have the safest drivers on the road.

  • Preferred age of 23 or older
  • Minimum of two years verifiable tractor-flat-bed trailer driving experience in last three years
  • No more than three moving violations in the past three years
  • No “serious” violations (i.e., reckless or careless driving, DUI, driving commercial vehicle with out CDL in drivers possession, etc.) in the past five years
  • No more than three preventable accidents in the past three years
  • No DOT reportable with receiving a citation that related to a fatality
  • No more than three jobs in the past three years
