Rolling Strong to Start the Year!
Quarter 1 of 2022 brought a strong performance for our company, thanks in large part to our valued clients, hard-working drivers and dedicated group of office professionals! It’s no secret that America’s supply chain remains busy and with no indicators of that changing soon, our group is excited to continue to stand by our long term, loyal clients and offer them the support of our fleet as much as possible. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who played a role in making the past few months a great success at Long Haul, we cannot wait to drive into the remainder of this year with all our first-class teammates and partners. For over 35 years, Long Haul has been known as a company that thrives on treating their drivers, clients, and employees with a high level of professionalism, and whether the state of our industry be in good times or bad times, that is something that will never change.
North of 90k!
As retention and earnings continue to be two subjects of heavy focus for all trucking organizations, employee stock ownership is one benefactor that puts Long Haul ahead of the competition. While the trucking industry continues to face 2 key challenges centered on driver retention and earnings, we feel proud knowing that as an Employee Owned company, we are providing an opportunity for our company drivers to be well rewarded for their time and efforts. We couldn’t be prouder to announce the fact that greater than 40% of company drivers fully vested in our ESOP have portfolio balances worth more than 90k! Our goal is to be the last driving job our truckers have before retirement, and with our ESOP, we can help make that mission come true! Furthermore- our ESOP culture also helps ensure that our Owner Operators are treated with care by some of the most passionate, enthusiastic office professionals in the industry. Our group is committed to driving our trucker’s success by offering every opportunity possible for them to reach it!
Spring Temps Mean Ground Thaw!
Spring is upon us and as excited as we are to be able to enjoy some warmer temperatures there are several things we need to be mindful of in order to make the coming months as safe and successful as possible! First, we would like to remind all drivers that as the ground thaws, it becomes soft, meaning that parking on the side of the road or on any non-paved surface could lead to potential sinkage! Equally important is the need to be aware of seasonal load limits and proper trip planning as GPS may not account for some of the restrictions this entails. Finally, Spring also means in many states the beginning of road construction season. We would like to remind all our drivers to pay close attention for any road construction signage and be ready for a slower route of travel! We hope everyone enjoys a safe and successful Spring season!
Boost Your Earnings, Protect the Brand!
For over 35 years, Long Haul has been proud of having a reputation built on operating a fleet composed of the most professional, clean-cut drivers in the industry. As we look to the future, it is important for us to keep this image intact by attracting the next generation of professional drivers. To help springboard this effort we are relying on our drivers, those that uphold our image daily, to do some work. Effective today through the end of April, we are increasing our driver referral pay to $2500 per driver, while also increasing our orientation pay to $2500 as well. Long Haul always has and will be a company driven by the best truckers in the industry, something we will never compromise, and we need our drivers help to continue to bring them here!
