Roy Puryear Wins NASTC Driver of the Year!
Please join us in congratulating Long Haul company driver and Employee Owner, Roy Puryear, in earning the NASTC Driver of the Year Award! As a company driver, employee owner and member of our fleet, Roy is someone that we can always count on to represent both Long Haul and our industry’s image well. Roy is a pleasure to work with and leaves a positive impression on everyone he meets. “When Roy showed up to Long Haul Trucking for orientation, the level of professionalism and kindness he displayed was exactly what we are looking for in a professional truck driver. Once Roy got in the truck, his commitment to safety and outstanding customer service illustrated that we had truly found a diamond.” – (Long Haul Trucking CEO Jason Michels) Roy has spent over 25 years in our industry and in that time has obtained a great deal of wisdom and information that can be shared with the next generation of drivers coming to help propel their success.
September Inspections
Our drivers have once again proven to be the best in the business with 16 passed inspections in the month of September! Even more impressive is that three of our drivers, Jeremy, Glen, and Mark all received Level 1 inspections and passed them successfully. These drivers will be rewarded with a safety bonus for doing so. We are always striving to be the safest carrier on the roads and that does not happen without hard work and attention to detail from every member of our fleet, a big thanks to all who are doing their part to keep Long Haul violation free and as safe as can be!
Coming In Hot: Permit Book Season
We are running full speed ahead into permit book season and for our drivers it is as good of time as any to start thinking about planning this into your coming weeks! Safety is already working on obtaining all permit renewals for 2023 and has hopes to have everything ready by late October. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon and be prepared to plan ahead in order to have this update successfully executed by the end of the year. We cannot thank all of our drivers, teammates and customers enough for making the first three quarters of 2022 truly exceptional, let’s keep it rolling!
Boost Your Earnings, Protect the Brand!
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the drivers that have already taken advantage of our referral bonus! We are proud to announce that this year alone we have already paid out $86,500 in referral bonuses and are eager to award more drivers with $2,500 for referring quality, professional drivers to join our team! For over 35 years, Long Haul has been proud of having a reputation built on operating a fleet composed of the most professional, clean-cut drivers in the industry. As we look to the future, it is important for us to keep this image intact by attracting the next generation of professional drivers. To help springboard this effort we are relying on our drivers, those that uphold our image daily, to do some work. Effective through the end of October, driver referral pay will remain at $2500 per driver, with orientation pay remaining at $2500 as well. Long Haul always has and will be a company driven by the best truckers in the industry, something we will never compromise, and we need our drivers help to continue to bring them here!
