Celebrating Safety!

Celebrating safe driving is something that always deserves recognition and this year we are beyond grateful to have 12 different drivers celebrating major milestones! Please join us in congratulating the following individuals who this year are celebrating one million safe miles as a member of LHT and earning a beautiful ring to honor the occasion! Joe S, Eric C, Jason N, Ray D, Sid A., James P, Darrell M, Tony G, Tim W, Bill L, and Matt K. Additionally, we are proud to present our valued teammate, Rich L, with a beautiful watch to celebrate his 2 million safe miles driven at Long Haul! Celebrating safety means much more than just avoiding an accident, it speaks directly to the well-being of the people that our drivers share the roadways with, and the care that they take in doing a first class job! Thank you all, and congratulations on your outstanding achievements.

Celebrating Two Decades of Success!

It is an incredibly special month at Long Haul Trucking as we extend a major thank you and congratulations to our valued teammate, and Owner Operator, Darrell, who is celebrating his 20 year anniversary as a member of our team! Spending two decades with the same company is nothing short of spectacular and we could not be more grateful for Darrel’s 20 years of hard work and dedication to Long Haul! We asked Darrell what it is about Long Haul that makes it a company worth sticking with for such an impressive tenure, to which he offered the following: “Job security is key, every company has their slow periods, but Long Haul has always remained steady. The money is better than where I came from, and even with that, Long Haul remains a more family oriented company too. We (Long Haul) have a lot of drivers that have been here for a long time, and I believe that’s because dispatch is always doing the best they can for us all to succeed.” Thank you, Darrell for your continued partnership with Long Haul and especially as an Owner Operator, trusting your business with ours.

Winter Driving Tips

• Make sure you are carrying the appropriate food supplies, hydration supplies and clothing for winter driving and unforeseen weather delays.
• Please remember to add anti-gel into your fuel tanks when traveling into a region with colder temperatures.
• Any time you are coming out of the south, once north of I-80, you need to purchase fuel, as it is treated for colder temps.
• If you are home, or on your 34 hour reset and temps are below freezing, make sure your APU is operating. Do not let it sit idle for more than 16 hours without being ran.
• Carry extra fuel filters.
• If you are running west, make sure you are equipped with chains or cables if needed for icy or snowy terrain, especially when driving through elevation.
• Call dispatch immediately if you do not feel safe, no load is worth one of our drivers safety.
