Anthony Book Long Haul Trucking

January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) recognizes that trucking, along with other members of the transportation industry, are perfectly positioned in the course of their everyday jobs to provide an extra set of eyes and ears to law enforcement in helping to identify both victims and perpetrators of human trafficking. TAT is driven by the belief that together, we can make a difference. Their focus on collaboration, education, and action fuels the mission to end human trafficking and restore dignity to survivors. Join us as we work with TAT to dismantle trafficking networks and bring perpetrators to justice.

Winter Driving Tips

• Make sure you are carrying the appropriate food supplies, hydration supplies and clothing for winter driving and unforeseen weather delays.
• Please remember to add anti-gel into your fuel tanks when traveling into a region with colder temperatures.
• Any time you are coming out of the south, once north of I-80, you need to purchase fuel, as it is treated for colder temps.
• If you are home, or on your 34-hour reset and temps are below freezing, make sure your APU is operating. Do not let it sit idle for more than 16 hours without being ran.
• Carry extra fuel filters.
• If you are running west, make sure you are equipped with chains or cables if needed for icy or snowy terrain, especially when driving through elevation.
• Call dispatch immediately if you do not feel safe, no load is worth one of our drivers safety.
