Premier 94, The premier diesel and trailer repair shop is currently seeking Diesel Technicians and Trailer Mechanics. First and second shift positions available immediately. *** $4.00 /hr. SECOND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL!!!! *** ***TUITION REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM*** Job Description: The main duties of our diesel mechanics are to maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements as required by each truck brought into the shop. Correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments, alignments; and keeping records are some of the tasks associated with the main job functions. Responsibilities: Including but not limited to: · Diagnoses trouble, dissembles engines and examines parts of defects and excessive wear. · Reconditions and replaces parts such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings. · Welding · Engine tune ups · Truck and trailer services · Maintain all aspects of truck repair · Bill out repairs and parts as requested and needed · Assist department manager as needed and requested · Continuing education of preventative maintenance as needed · Maintain shop equipment, including: o Cleaning equipment after use o Put away all used equipment after use o Repair equipment as needed · Clean shop as time permits o General pick up of shop rags, etc. o Cleaning the floor · Insure safety at all times o Proper use of equipment through good housekeeping, work habits and proper use of personal protective equipment when required. o Maintain all safety shields and etc. on all equipment o Insure that all equipment is in safe working order Skills: An ideal candidate would possess these qualities: · Strong communication skills with multiple people within the company · Strong problem solving skills · Excellent technical aptitude · Good work ethic and attitude · Ability to stay up-to-date on current technologies Qualifications: · Education: High School Diploma or equivalent · Prior experience · Post-secondary training is preferred (Certificate, AA Degree) · Physically able to: bend, stoop, twist, and lift up to 60 lbs.'
